Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off | Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm (12-hour shifts)
Paid hours: 11.5 hours per shift
Contract: Long-term ongoing work with a view to a permanent contract for the right candidate
We're recruiting a Trainee Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturer producing building supply products in Aldridge. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing-full training provided.
Pay Rates
£13.50 per hour
once permanent £37,000 paThe Role
As a Trainee Machine Operator, you'll support the day-to-day running of production machinery and ensure products meet quality standards. Key duties include:
Monitoring machines during operation and reporting any issues
Completing quality checks on finished products and recording results
Using a computer to input data, complete basic production paperwork, and follow work instructions
Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
Working as part of a team to meet production targets safely and consistentlyWhat We're Looking For
Able to work 12-hour day shifts (6am-6pm), 4 on / 4 off reliably
Physically fit and comfortable standing for the full shift
Confident using a computer (basic systems/data entry)
Strong attention to detail, especially for quality checking and monitoring machine performance
A positive attitude and willingness to learn (previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential)What's On Offer
Long-term, stable work with a consistent shift pattern
Training and development in machine operation and quality processes
