Alexander Steele are working with an established bakery and confectionery manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Manager for their site. The ideal candidate has worked within food manufacturing business within a senior Quality or Technical position.
Responsibilities:
* Install, develop, administer and audit the Total Quality Management System across the site, ensuring it is reviewed regularly and updated accordingly.
* Manage the site Quality Team, ensuring individuals have clear objectives, yearly performance reviews, and 6-monthly 1-1s.
* Work closely with the Bakery Management team to ensure all Food Safety, Quality and Legal requirements are controlled and met.
* Act as HACCP Team Leader, ensuring HACCP meetings take place and are used to complete HACCP studies, and administer and control the installation of all HACCP procedures and training.
* Ensure all HACCP, Total Quality Requirements, Risk Assessments, Verification and Validation systems are in place for all products and processes.
* Advise manufacturing departments on technical/quality aspects including food safety and quality legislation, weight management procedures, product protection and pest control, organoleptic requirements, hygienic design and sanitation systems.
* Audit and monitor all Supplier SAQ's and Supplier performance, including rating and closing out all issues in a timely manner.
* Deliver a Continuous Quality & Food Safety Improvement programme through the development and implementation of improvement techniques on site.
On offer:
* Annual Salary of £48,000 - £50,000.
* Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm (40 hours per week).
* 28 days AL (incl of BH)
