We are currently looking for a Shift Manager for a critical data centre environment in Slough
The Shift Manager is required to manage a shift team carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a critical multi-tennant data centre in Slough
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be responsible for managing shift engineers, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, driving safety compliance, and ensuring maximum uptime across a business-critical environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading and coordinating shift engineering teams
* Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
* Acting as an HV Authorised Person
* Overseeing Permit to Work, RAMS, and safe systems of work
* Responding to critical incidents and system faults
* Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance
* Supporting engineer development, training, and performance
* Maintaining statutory compliance and service excellence
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in a Data Centre, Critical Environment, or Mission-Critical Facility
* HV Authorisation essential
* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
* Current Wiring Regulations qualification
* Strong knowledge of BMS, PMS, Fire & Critical Building Systems
* Experience leading teams in high-pressure environments
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* PASMA, IPAF and First Aid qualifications desirable
