We are working with a growing manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team.

This is a hands-on management role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, ensuring quality, efficiency and customer delivery targets are achieved. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will lead the production team, drive continuous improvements and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the company.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

* Planning, coordinating and overseeing daily production operations

* Managing production schedules to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved

* Leading, motivating and developing the production team

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers

* Resolving production issues and implementing practical solutions

* Monitoring production performance and driving continuous improvements

* Working closely with engineering, sales and supply chain teams

* Maintaining high quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures

* Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency

* Supporting cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives

Requirements of the Production Manager:

* Previous experience as a Production Manager or in a similar manufacturing leadership role

* Strong leadership and people management skills

* Experience working within a manufacturing environment

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Experience managing customer and supplier relationships

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

* Experience using ERP/MRP systems

* Good Microsoft Office skills

* Understanding of production planning, quality and continuous improvement

* Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example

Desirable:

* Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

* Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience

* IOSH, NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification
