We are looking for a reliable and professional Gatekeeper/Traffic Marshal to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining site security, controlling access to the construction site and ensuring the safe movement of vehicles on and around the site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviour where necessary.
* Maintaining site security at the gate to prevent unauthorised access.
* Recording deliveries received against the project delivery schedule.
* Rejecting deliveries that are not scheduled.
* Ensuring delivery vehicles comply with the project's logistics management plan and any delivery restrictions.
* Assisting the project team in maintaining accurate environmental KPI records, including mileage covered and details of materials delivered.
* Overseeing and managing the movement of vehicles on and off site to ensure the safety of the public and other road users, using approved traffic and pedestrian control measures where required.
* Assisting delivery drivers and supply chain partners with manoeuvring vehicles on, off and around the site, as directed by the project team.
* Maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of the site entrance.
* Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and delivery drivers, remaining polite, professional and approachable at all times.
* Demonstrating a good understanding of health and safety procedures, including the safe use of PPE and site access requirements.
* Confidently challenging unsafe behaviour or anyone not following site procedures.
* Reporting any issues, defects or incidents that may impact the safe and efficient operation of the site.
