Process Operator
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Process Operator / Material Preparation Process Operator to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety, teamwork and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
If you have previous manufacturing experience, enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate rubber moulding, material preparation and finishing processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Produce components that consistently meet quality standards and production targets.
* Support production start-ups, shutdowns and machine changeovers.
* Carry out hand trimming, finishing and preparation of materials.
* Safely operate hand tools, power tools and production equipment following all health and safety procedures.
* Accurately complete production documentation and record production data.
* Report quality concerns, defects or production issues promptly.
* Assist with the loading, movement and transportation of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
* Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve departmental KPIs.
* Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Ability to read and follow written work instructions and technical drawings.
* Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
* Good manual dexterity and confidence operating production machinery.
* Good standards of literacy and numeracy.
* Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
* NVQ (or equivalent) in Performing Manufacturing Operations.
* Experience working within Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
