The UK’s leading supplier of rope-grown mussels and cultivated Pacific oysters have a requirement for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join the team at their state-of-the-art facility in Bellshill.

This is a hands-on role within a busy food production environment, where you’ll be involved in planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Conducting maintenance tasks as laid down in the Maintenance Database and other related duties as they arise
Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner
Ensuring that paperwork relating to maintenance is kept up to date
Ensuring that stock of spare parts is monitored, stored safely in the correct place
Keeping the departmental Supervisors informed regarding the status of breakdowns or other issues when necessary
Undertaking training as instructed within Company training plans to develop skills applicable to specific functions
Adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety policy and showing a diligent approach to safety matters within the factory areas
The main requirements for this role are:
Electrical experience in food production (FMCG)
18th Edition Trained Preferred
Experience with automation systems
Access to own transport
Other desirable qualities include:
Experience with PLC control systems
Experience using Electrical / Pneumatic drawings
Experience with Microsoft Excel
