We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Shift Technician to join our engineering team at a prestigious client site in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a mechanical backgroundwho enjoys working within a critical building environment and takes pride in delivering a first-class maintenance service.

Working as part of a dedicated shift team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and corrective works across a range of building services systems, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the site.

Join our team and play a key role in delivering excellence and innovation in Hard FM and Technical Facilities Services.

As a Mechanical Shift Technician you'll:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault-finding across mechanical and electrical building services.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs within your technical competency.
Ensure all critical building systems operate safely and efficiently, escalating issues where necessary.
Support the delivery of minor installation works and like-for-like asset replacements.
Assist in prioritising work orders and liaise with the Helpdesk and end users regarding maintenance requests.
Complete all work in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS, Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure work orders are completed to contractual service levels and engineering standards.
Support subcontractors on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Deputise for the Shift Lead when required.
Participate in emergency response procedures and provide technical support during out-of-hours incidents when necessary.
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.What we're looking for:

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
A minimum of 5 years' experience within a building maintenance or facilities management environment.
Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Experience working in commercial buildings or critical environments.
Good understanding of current engineering standards and industry best practice.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation, Safe Systems of Work, RAMS and Permit to Work procedures.
Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.
The ability to work independently and effectively manage your workload.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
