Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding role supporting children with profound and complex needs?
Do you have the confidence to deliver engaging lessons across a PPA timetable?
Are you passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential in a nurturing SEND environment?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND primary school based in Oldbury. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children with profound and complex needs, where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills through a personalised approach to learning.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated HLTA on a long-term basis from September. The successful HLTA will be responsible for delivering lessons across a PPA timetable while supporting primary-aged pupils with profound and complex needs, working closely with teachers and support staff to provide engaging, high-quality learning experiences.
The successful HLTA will have:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience working within a UK primary or SEND setting
• Experience supporting children with profound and complex needs, including PMLD and associated learning difficulties
• Confidence delivering lessons across a PPA timetable and leading whole class learning
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach to supporting pupils and colleagues
