Position Overview

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school near Fareham from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the full academic year, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for the right candidate. The successful applicant will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, challenge learners and promote academic success.

You will join a supportive department and play a key role in helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while fostering a love of learning.

What You'll Be Doing

Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
Conducting practical investigations safely and effectively.
Monitoring student progress and providing meaningful feedback.
Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school initiatives.
Upholding the school's commitment to high standards, inclusion and student wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A passion for inspiring young people and promoting a love of Science.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
