IAM Lead
Robert Half is supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Lead to provide critical coverage during a key transition period within the Cyber Security function. This is a hands-on IAM leadership role, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation's identity security controls while supporting major strategic initiatives, including IAM transformation and privileged access management programmes.
Assignment Details:
- Initial 4-6 month contract (strong likelihood of extension)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: UK Hybrid some travel needed to Leeds
- Rate: c.£500-550 p/day via FCA Umbrella Company
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure privileged, non-privileged and third-party access is appropriately administered and governed
- Work closely with business stakeholders and application owners to define and configure access profiles and role-based controls
- Support the ongoing implementation and optimisation of SailPoint and Delinea platforms
- Configure, manage and enhance Entra ID (Azure AD) and Conditional Access controls
- Conduct regular IAM audits, access reviews and security assurance activities
- Identify, assess and respond to identity-related risks, threats and control weaknesses
- Support Security Operations activities, incident response and security engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Network and Application teams to ensure effective IAM integration
- Provide IAM expertise and governance support across technology and business change programmes
- Assist in the development and implementation of IAM strategy, policies, standards and procedures
- Engage with senior stakeholders, application owners and delivery teams across the organisation
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a hands-on IAM Lead, IAM Engineer or Identity Security role
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD) and cloud identity management
- Experience configuring and managing Entra Conditional Access and Zero Trust security controls
- Strong working knowledge of SailPoint, Delinea, Azure PIM or other Privileged Access Management solutions
- Experience delivering Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) initiatives
- Ability to identify, assess and mitigate IAM-related security risks and insider threats
- Strong understanding of IAM governance, policies, procedures and control frameworks
- Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant Cyber Security certifications and/or degree desirable
Desirable:
- SailPoint implementation or transformation experience
- Delinea implementation or administration experience
- Security Operations or Security Engineering background
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide IAM transformation programmes
- Experience engaging with CIO, senior technology leaders and application owners
