Lead Quality Supervisor - Romsey (Onsite) - Up to £50,000

We're looking for an experienced Lead Quality Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality composite components used within the aerospace and defence sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative engineering business where you'll take ownership of day-to-day quality assurance activities, working closely with manufacturing, engineering and production teams to ensure products meet the highest industry standards. You'll combine hands-on inspection with quality leadership, helping drive continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead day-to-day quality assurance and inspection activities across manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspection of composite components and assemblies.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements.
  • Produce inspection reports, quality documentation and measurement records.
  • Support internal, customer and certification audits.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause investigations and CAPA activities.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, reduce defects and enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and product validation.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Collaborate with international manufacturing teams to ensure consistent quality standards across multiple sites.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have experience in a Quality Supervisor, Senior Inspector or Quality Engineer position within aerospace, advanced composites or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Practical hands-on inspection and metrology experience.
  • Confidence using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and digital measurement systems.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across production, engineering and quality teams.

Experience with composite manufacturing, aircraft interiors, defence products, 3D scanning or advanced metrology equipment would be highly advantageous.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, technically advanced manufacturer supplying mission-critical products into the aerospace and defence industries. You'll have the chance to make a genuine impact on quality performance while working with cutting-edge composite technologies in a collaborative engineering environment.

If you're passionate about quality, thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment and want to help deliver products that meet the highest industry standards, we'd love to hear from you.
