We’re recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join one of Europe’s leading data centre contractors on a major mission-critical project based in Blyth, England.

This is a senior project leadership role responsible for managing the full electrical scope across a large-scale hyperscale data centre build, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-programme delivery from construction through to commissioning and handover.

As Electrical Project Manager, you will lead electrical delivery teams, subcontractors, and engineering staff while maintaining strong coordination with clients, design teams, commercial teams, and site leadership to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical installation activities across the project.
• Coordinate electrical design, engineering, and construction interfaces.
• Lead site delivery teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Monitor project progress against programme, identifying risks and delays.
• Manage labour, materials, and resource planning to optimise productivity.
• Drive short-term and long-term work planning (weekly & 12-week lookaheads).
• Chair weekly coordination and progress meetings with key stakeholders.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and project standards.
• Review and approve project documentation and site reporting.
• Track variations, delays, and change impacts with commercial teams.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal project teams.
• Lead issue resolution, technical coordination, and site problem-solving.
• Ensure commissioning readiness and support project handover activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in electrical project delivery on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong background in Data Centre, Industrial, Commercial, or Mission Critical projects preferred.
• Trade or Engineering qualification in Electrical discipline.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project controls, and electrical systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage fast-paced, high-value construction environments.
