Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT eager to make a difference, this role offers a unique opportunity to transform the lives of learners with SEMH and additional needs.

Join a growing, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ special school supporting young people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and social, emotional and mental health challenges. The Role

As a Humanities / PHSE Teacher (SEMH), you will deliver creative, accessible and meaningful lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils across two small, nurturing campuses. With class sizes up to 10 students and a learning approach rooted in movement, connection and curiosity, this is a role where you can truly teach beyond the textbook. Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their emotional and social development

Work collaboratively with pastoral, therapeutic and education teams

Plan and assess against EHCP outcomes, ensuring every learner makes meaningful progress

What Makes This School Stand Out

A creative, flexible curriculum designed around exploration and self-expression

Physical activity embedded in 50% of the school day to support regulation and focus

Trauma-informed, non-restraint behavioural practice

Small classes with strong staff-to-pupil ratios for personalised learning

Onsite multidisciplinary therapeutic support for holistic development

What We’re Looking For

QTS or QTLS (essential)

Experience in mainstream or SEN settings (Humanities/PHSE experience strongly preferred)

Confident in adapting learning for pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to re-engage learners

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for travel between sites)

What You’ll Gain

A rewarding role in a purpose-led school committed to inclusion and growth

Tailored CPD and career progression

A supportive, collaborative school culture that values staff wellbeing

Ongoing guidance from a dedicated Inspire EHC consultant
