Key Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you'll play an important role in delivering consistently high standards by:
Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Preparing and overseeing high-quality food production
Supervising, training, and supporting the kitchen team during service
Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Monitoring stock, reducing waste, and assisting with ordering
Ensuring efficient service and consistent food quality in a busy environment
Assisting with kitchen organisation, rotas, and daily operational duties
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, leadership, and experience, including:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef within a fast-paced kitchen
Experience working within counter-style food service is preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high standards
Strong organisational and time management skills
Reliable, positive, and hands-on approach
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required
