Management Accountant
Location: Blackburn (Hybrid)

The Role
You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, variance analysis, and commentary in line with agreed deadlines. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Management Accounts efficiently
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Business partner with non-finance stakeholders
Prepare financial reports for senior management
Manage month-end journals (Account Receivables and accounts payable).
Support VAT returns and external audits Skills & Competencies
Strong accounting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Experience using accounting systems.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions‑focused mindset.
Collaborative approach and willingness to work cross‑functionally.Experience Required
Part‑qualified or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent), or QBE (Qualified By Experience)
Demonstrable experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within management accounting.
Solid understanding of management accounts, balance sheets, and financial controls.You will enjoy working in a supportive and flexible organisation where you are given autonomy in your role and the opportunity to add value. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days working from home.
