We are a welcoming primary school in the heart of Hackney, dedicated to providing a nurturing, stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Work with individuals and small groups of children to develop their communication, language, social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.
Observe children's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to support assessment and planning.
Promote positive behaviour and model high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, following safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.
Support children with a range of developmental needs, ensuring every child is fully included and able to reach their potential.
Build positive relationships with colleagues, parents and carers to support children's learning and development.About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children within an EYFS or primary school setting.
Has a warm, patient and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
Is passionate about child development and helping children achieve their full potential.
Understands the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and child-centred learning.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team. Why Horizon Teachers
