Sapien are looking Data Entry Administrator for our client in Sandwich. This role is about keeping the engineering team's information organised, accurate, and up to date, while making sure everyone follows the correct processes when changes are made to engineering designs and documents.
Key Responsibilities
* Looking after the company's engineering data and making sure it's accurate and easy to find.
* Managing the system engineers use to store drawings, documents, and product information (PLM/DDM).
* Making sure any changes to designs or products are properly approved and tracked.
* Helping colleagues use the system by answering questions and providing training.
* Improving the way the engineering team works by reviewing processes and suggesting better ways of doing things.
* Helping move all engineering data to a new software system over the next couple of years.
* Producing reports and KPIs to show how the engineering department is performing.
* Carrying out internal audits to ensure processes are being followed correctly.
Experience Required
* Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Someone who is organised and enjoys managing data and processes.
* Experience with document control, configuration management, or engineering change control would be useful.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ideally familiar with PLM software.
* Good communication skills and able to train and support colleagues.
* Someone who enjoys improving processes and working as part of a team
