Gap Personnel are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, who are a growing artisan bakery business, for a Bakery Assistant / Kitchen Staff Member to join their production team in Swindon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced food production environment. Working as part of the bakery team, you will be involved in the preparation, baking, decorating, and packing of high-quality products while maintaining exceptional food hygiene and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and production of, baked goods, and confectionery products.
Mixing, preparing, and baking products in line with recipes and specifications.
Decorating and finishing products to company standards.
Preparing ingredients and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
Packing products ready for delivery and sale.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
Following food safety, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
Cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Supporting other areas of the bakery and production process as required.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience within a bakery, kitchen, food production, catering, or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential).
Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing quality products.
Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Have a good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Be comfortable standing for long periods and undertaking manual handling duties.
Be flexible to work weekends as part of a rota.
Work well both independently and as part of a team.
