Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Planner to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Ramsgate, Kent.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Team, and Site Management, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes to ensure successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile civil engineering scheme while working within a collaborative and professional project team.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes from pre-construction through to project completion.

* Produce short-term and long-term construction programmes, look-ahead schedules, and progress reports.

* Monitor project progress against the baseline programme and identify risks, delays, and opportunities.

* Work closely with project teams to develop recovery plans where required.

* Prepare programme updates for client and internal progress meetings.

* Assist with planning methodologies, sequencing of works, and resource planning.

* Analyse project performance and produce programme narratives and reports.

* Support tender planning and programme development for future projects where required.

* Ensure programmes accurately reflect project scope, resources, and contractual requirements.

About You

You will have previous experience planning civil engineering or infrastructure projects and possess strong analytical and communication skills. You will be confident working with project teams and clients to develop realistic and achievable programmes that support successful project delivery.

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience as a Planner within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.

* Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery.

* Experience producing and maintaining detailed construction programmes.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

* Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

* CSCS Card.

* Membership of a relevant professional institution is desirable.

Software Experience

Experience using one or more of the following:

* Primavera P6 (preferred).

* Microsoft Project.

* Asta Powerproject.

* Microsoft Excel and other project reporting tools.
