We’re supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in the North East who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of key infrastructure and civils projects. This is a client‑facing role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery: Oversee full project lifecycle from pre‑construction through to handover.
* Site Leadership: Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Programme Management: Monitor progress, update programmes, and mitigate risks proactively.
* Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all works meet CDM, H&S, and quality standards.
* Commercial Oversight: Support cost control, variations, and reporting alongside commercial teams.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience delivering civils or infrastructure projects as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager.
* Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, utilities, structures, or public realm works.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project performance.
* SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid; additional civils‑related qualifications beneficial.
