We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be involved in a broad range of finance and administration duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Processing subcontractor applications and invoices, ensuring accurate records and timely payments
Raising and posting sales invoices
Processing company credit card transactions and employee expenses
Assisting with banking activities and reconciliations
Carrying out daily accounting tasks using Sage 200
Managing a busy shared finance inbox and responding to queries
Assisting with payroll-related and labour wage queries
Producing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets, including the use of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts and administrative dutiesThe Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar accounting role
Experience using Sage 200 or comparable accounting software
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and support different areas of the businessEssential Requirements
Access to your own vehicle due to the location of the office
Availability to start at short notice would be advantageousWhat's on Offer?
