We are currently supporting a family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England in recruiting a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician for their Bicester location. This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician seeking to join a reputable business with a longstanding history of operational excellence.
Benefits of the HGV Technician:
Starting salary up to £44,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
Additional efficiency bonuses of up to £9,000 annually, paid monthly upon reaching performance targets
Optional overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a half or double time)
Optional call-out rota (one week in four) with attractive financial incentives
22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with holiday entitlement increasing with service

Perform all service and maintenance work to the highest standards on heavy goods vehicles within specified manufacturer timeframes
Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions
Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations to optimise workshop productivity
Ensure all work complies with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards
Document diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities accurately
Provide professional customer service by maintaining high-quality work standards
Support the workshop team in achieving operational targets and customer satisfaction
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
Optional participation in roadside call-out rota and overtime shiftsRequirements of the HGV Technician:
IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Practical experience working with heavy goods vehicles
Strong diagnostic and repair skills with attention to detail
Proactive, motivated, and able to work well within a team environment
Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop setting
