We’re recruiting for an experienced Project Lead to join one of Europe’s leading data centre contractors on a major mission-critical project based in Blyth, England.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall delivery of a flagship hyperscale data centre project, overseeing cost, schedule, quality, and safety from project inception through to completion and handover.

As Project Lead, you will report directly to the Project Director and take full ownership of project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of a complex, fast-paced construction programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project delivery from inception through to completion and handover.
• Manage project cost, schedule, scope, and budget performance.
• Oversee subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal delivery teams.
• Drive programme performance and manage critical milestones.
• Chair client, coordination, and project progress meetings.
• Review design, construction proposals, and commercial scopes of work.
• Manage procurement activities and long-lead equipment tracking.
• Monitor cost reporting, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Review and approve valuations, invoices, and payment applications.
• Support engineering and design decisions impacting cost and programme.
• Ensure strong coordination between planning, design, commercial, and site teams.
• Manage project close-out, handover, and final documentation.
• Maintain strict compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and quality standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in project management or senior delivery roles.
• Strong background in Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, or Major Construction projects.
• Proven experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control and project finance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, and delivery.
• Ability to manage high-value, fast-paced construction environments.
