Project Coordinator
Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive, organised and customer-focused Project Coordinator to join a busy and growing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership and managing projects from the initial stages through to successful completion. You'll become the key point of contact for customers, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly while providing an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire project lifecycle.
This role would suit someone who is confident working independently, able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels, and enjoys coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of projects from order placement through to final handover.
Develop and manage project delivery plans in collaboration with customers.
Work closely with internal and external sales teams following successful project awards.
Coordinate long-term projects, some lasting 12 months or more.
Liaise with Purchasing, Production, Despatch, Service and After Sales teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to customer expectations.
Review commissioning activities and ensure all documentation is completed prior to project handover.
Process customer orders and raise purchase orders.
Maintain accurate project, customer and product information across internal systems.
Coordinate deliveries and proactively resolve any issues that may impact project timelines.
Complete final project handover to the relevant internal team.
About You
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage projects with minimal supervision and take ownership of their workload.
You'll ideally have:
Experience coordinating projects from start to finish.
Experience in a Customer Account Management or customer-facing coordination role.
Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams.
Experience using CRM systems and SAP would be advantageous.
A PRINCE2 qualification is desirable but not essential.
