ersg are searching for a Substation Commissioning Engineer to join a major contractor in the Irish Power, Transmission & Distribution sectors. This role requires someone with experience in commissioning ESB substations, and you will be working across multiple projects across Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

Verifying all primary and secondary substation plant/equipment is suitable for a Declaration of Fitness.
Conduct all on-site HV commissioning tests on related plant.
Verify communications systems (SCADA, RTU, automation systems) are operational.
Lead commissioning on protection and control equipment.
Review and ensure comprehensive documentation of all test records.
Develop and nurture the update of commissioning procedures and standards.You will have demonstrable experience in the commissioning of ESB HV substations. Qualifications will include a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, ideally Power Engineering. You must have a full, clean driving license and be able to prove your eligibility to work in Ireland.
