We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of HGV Technician - Lates. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV technicians seeking a stable and rewarding career within a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Southampton, Hampshire.
Our client, a highly reputable company with over 50 years’ experience in the Commercial Vehicle Sector, sells more than 100,000 vehicles annually and has a turnover exceeding £1 billion. They provide a supportive work environment focused on team development, quality standards, and professional growth.
Key benefits:
Competitive salary of £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
OTE of approximately £52,000 including overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.30 pm to 00.00 am (40 hours per week)
Full-time, stable employment with an established organisation

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers, adhering to VOSA standards
Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and accurately
Maintain safety standards and observe health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with parts department to source and fit necessary components
Complete job cards, service sheets, and clocking entries accurately and promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop
Continually update technical knowledge through relevant trainingRequirements of the HGV Technician:
Proven experience as a HGV Technician, preferably within a commercial vehicle dealership
Relevant Level 3 qualifications or equivalent credentials
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrable ability to deliver high-quality workmanship
Positive attitude, team player, with excellent communication skills
