Blue Arrow is recruiting for a Project Technical Engineer to join our clients growing team based in the Swansea area.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000k p.a

Hours of work: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Purpose of job

Oversee product engineering operations and ensure that engineering procedures are followed. Confidently managing our teams while, at the same time, setting goals, and timelines for various projects. Use innovative technologies that maximize productivity and help our company grow.

Principal Accountability's

Preplanning of the most effective execution of lifting strategy for crane works
Identify any potential problems via site visits, technical drawings and production of lifting plans and ensure solutions are implemented prior to the mobilisation to site
Using drawing software packages such as 2D and 3D AutoCAD, to produce technical drawings in both plan and elevation views as part of a lifting plan, to ensure accuracy and the project execution strategy is viable
Complete Critical lift documents as part of the lift plan and submittal to client for approval and review
Develop a safe lifting strategy inclusive in the form of a method statements for all sites, ensuring all aspects of lifting are included e.g lifting sequence, crane selection
Be familiar with the relevant parts of the project Safe System of Work where lifting operations is being carried out
Assess the lifting operation to provide such planning, selection of cranes, lifting accessories and equipment, instruction, and supervision as necessary for the task to be undertaken safely. This may also involve consultation with other professionals
Provide training and mentoring as needed.
Oversee progress and timeliness of projects.
Ensure that you comply with all health and safety and other statutory regulations
Personal training needs that you identify from time to time, and undertake personal training and development as required.
Work with team to ensure that services meet the established quality standards set by the company.
Any other task deemed necessary by management to complete your role.

Technical Engineer Requirements

Good understanding of agile methodologies
Leadership abilities with a strategic mind
Good technical CAD skills
