Are you looking for a rewarding long-term SEMH Humanities Teacher role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH school in Wolverhampton for pupils aged 8 to 16. The school is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where every pupil is valued, supported through excellent pastoral care and encouraged to achieve their full potential through a holistic approach to education.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Humanities Teacher on a long-term basis with the opportunity to become permanent. Working 4 or 5 days per week, the successful SEMH Humanities Teacher will deliver engaging Humanities lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, creating a calm, supportive classroom environment while promoting positive behaviour, engagement and academic progress.
The successful SEMH Humanities Teacher will have:
QTS with a Humanities specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Experience supporting students with SEMH, challenging behaviour or within an alternative provision
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A calm, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
