An established engineering consultancy is seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join its growing Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects, from initial concept and planning through to detailed design and project delivery.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, developing technical expertise, engineering knowledge, and an understanding of sustainable design principles within a supportive and collaborative environment. As the business continues to grow, there will be excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

Support Project Engineers with the preparation of drawings, calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
Attend site visits to assess project constraints and monitor construction activities where required.
Develop proficiency in relevant design software, industry standards, and engineering guidance.
Produce work in accordance with company procedures, maintaining high-quality standards across all projects.
Assist in identifying and managing project risks within assigned responsibilities.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and senior project team members throughout project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement by providing constructive feedback to management.Candidate Profile

Demonstrates a genuine passion for engineering and problem-solving.
Be local to Birmingham
Eager to learn, develop professionally, and build a successful engineering career.
Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
Able to interpret project briefs and deliver work with guidance from senior engineers.
Previous experience in highways, infrastructure, or drainage engineering would be beneficial but is not essential.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Causeway Flow would be advantageous but is not required.Essential Qualifications

Degree in Engineering (essential).
