SG Personnel are working with a large manufacturing company in Newcastle who are looking to recruit a team of welders to work on an ongoing basis, looking at an initial 4-8 weeks work, which could lead to a permanent transfer for the right fit.
The work will involve basic JIG and fixture MIG welding on mild steel ranging from 3mm to 10mm in thickness. The job is predominantly batch work but may also be responsible for basic conventional machining, grinding, dressing and fettling.
Candidates must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or be a time served welder.
The shift pattern is 2 weeks of dayshift followed by 2 weeks of nightshift. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-5.15pm on days. Monday to Thursday, 9.30pm-7.15am on nights.
Rate of pay is £15.18 per hour
