PSR Solutions are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering key CP7 rail infrastructure projects across the Swindon area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on long-term Network Rail frameworks, playing a key role in the successful delivery of major rail and civil engineering schemes.
As General Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations on rail and civil engineering projects.
Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Deliver works in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to maximise productivity.
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
Ensure RAMS are implemented and adhered to at all times.
Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, Engineers and the client to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor progress, identify potential risks and implement solutions to keep works on schedule.
Maintain accurate site records, permits and quality documentation.
Foster a positive safety culture across the project.
Requirements
Previous experience as a General Foreman within rail or heavy civil engineering.
Experience working on Network Rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, structures, reinforced concrete and general civils.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.
Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.

First Aid at Work
PTS (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence
