Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children with additional needs thrive? A welcoming primary school in the S5 area of Sheffield is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them access learning and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom. Working closely with teachers and the SEND team, you will provide tailored support through one-to-one and small group interventions, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Help maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment.
Requirements:
Ideally hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school is desirable.
A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their potential.
Knowledge of additional needs such as autism, ADHD or speech and language difficulties is advantageous.
