Join a highly specialised engineering team delivering advanced electro-mechanical systems across Medical, Industrial and Nuclear sectors. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive mechanical design from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning.
The Role
Lead the mechanical design of complex industrial process equipment
Own the CAD system (Solid Edge), standards and design release process
Design bespoke machinery and integrated material handling systems
Ensure correct integration of RF, high-voltage and electrical control systems
Oversee documentation, compliance and design quality
What We’re Looking For
• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience designing bespoke industrial machinery or process equipment
• Strong 3D CAD skills (Solid Edge preferred; SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo welcome)
• Sheet metal, frames, enclosures and structural design expertise
• Experience integrating electrical systems with exposure to RF assemblies and high-voltage equipment (desirable)
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and drive systems such as servo/stepper motors (desirable)
• Strong grasp of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of CE / UKCA compliance (desirable)
