Womenswear Tailoring & Outerwear Designer

Our client is looking for a talented Tailoring & Outerwear Designer to join one of their established womenswear brands, bringing a fresh and contemporary approach to heritage-inspired collections. You will be able to make your mark within a respected design team, working across structured tailoring, smart coordinates and outerwear while helping shape the future direction of the brand.
The Role:
As Tailoring & Outerwear Designer, you will:
* Develop seasonal collections across tailoring, smart coordinates and outerwear that reflect the brand's identity while introducing fresh, contemporary ideas.
* Research emerging trends through inspirational shopping and overseas research trips, sourcing fabrics and identifying key styling directions.
* Produce detailed CADs, technical packs and design presentations, responding quickly to design briefs within a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborate daily with Buyers, Merchandisers, Technologists and manufacturing partners to ensure collections are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
About You:
We're looking for a creative and commercially minded designer who has:
* Proven experience designing womenswear tailoring and outerwear within a fashion retail or supplier environment.
* A strong understanding of tailoring construction, garment fit, fabric behaviour and outerwear silhouettes.
* Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, with the ability to produce accurate CADs and comprehensive technical packs.
* Excellent trend awareness and the ability to interpret heritage influences into modern, commercially successful collections.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced design environment.
