We are seeking to appoint a compassionate, enthusiastic and committed Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a well-supported and well-resourced school in the Stourbridge area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with primary-aged children with a range of complex needs, supporting them to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will be patient, proactive and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Experience of working with pupils with complex learning needs, autism, communication difficulties or physical disabilities would be advantageous, although a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Provide high-quality support to children with complex needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
* Work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised learning and care.
* Support pupils' communication, social, emotional and academic development.
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.
* Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
* Contribute to a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Has experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with complex needs, or is eager to develop within this area.
* Is nurturing, patient and resilient.
* Is proactive, flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of pupils.
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Can use initiative while working effectively as part of a supportive staff team.
* Is committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
