Are you an experienced PMO professional looking to take the lead on major infrastructure and Net Zero programmes?

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing consultancy that is delivering high-profile projects across the UK's infrastructure sector. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping PMO functions, influencing programme delivery and working directly with senior stakeholders on complex, transformational programmes.

The Role

As a Principal Consultant - PMO, you'll lead the development and delivery of best-practice PMO services across a portfolio of infrastructure programmes. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, supporting clients to improve governance, reporting, planning and programme controls while mentoring colleagues and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead PMO delivery across major infrastructure and sustainability programmes.
Design and implement PMO frameworks, governance and reporting structures.
Develop programme controls including RAID logs, dashboards and performance reporting.
Support portfolio planning, benefits management and investment decision-making.
Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Mentor junior consultants and assure the quality of project deliverables.
Support business development activities, proposals and client presentations.

About You

You'll bring:

At least 8 years' experience in PMO, programme management or project controls.
Experience working within infrastructure, utilities, transport or Net Zero programmes.
Strong knowledge of recognised PMO methodologies such as P3O, MSP, MoP, APM, Agile or similar.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical skills with experience producing high-quality reporting and management information.
Previous experience leading or mentoring teams.
A degree or relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.

What's on Offer

Salary of £55,000-£75,000 depending on experience.
Hybrid working.
Pension scheme.
Up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Private healthcare and Employee Assistance Programme.
Health cash plan.
Enhanced maternity and sick pay.
Life assurance.
Free onsite parking.
Ongoing training and career development.
A supportive, collaborative culture with genuine opportunities for progression.

If you're looking to make a real impact within a growing consultancy delivering nationally significant infrastructure programmes, we'd love to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status
