Salary – Permanent, Full Time – Monday – Friday (36 hours per week, 3 different shifts) – £26,000 - £27,475 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
Holiday – 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays

Hertford Regional College is excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated member of staff who will provide a full range of estates and security services to the College. The Maintenance Technician will support the Team Leader and Contracts manager in providing an efficient and effective service to all college users. Please be aware there are 3 different shifts for the role ranging from early/ mids and later shifts.

About the Role
The role involves supporting the Estates Team Leader and the Health & Safety Facilities Manager in delivering an efficient, effective, and cost-conscious estates service across the College. Key responsibilities include carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, as assigned directly or through the Estates Helpdesk, to ensure the smooth operation of the College's facilities. The position is responsible for opening, inspecting, and preparing College buildings for daily use each morning, as well as conducting end-of-day security checks, securing the premises, and setting alarms. In addition, the role involves operating and monitoring the building maintenance system to maintain appropriate temperatures throughout the year, resolving issues where possible and coordinating with external contractors when specialist repairs or maintenance are required.

✔ Good general level of education
✔ Full Driving Licence.
✔ Experience working in a similar role carrying out some general maintenance tasks.
