Engineering Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Development Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive the development of innovative products from concept through to release. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping engineering processes, improving product performance, and aligning technical development with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop cross-functional engineering teams across software, hardware and systems engineering.
Manage the full product development lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery of new and existing products.
Identify opportunities to improve and expand the product portfolio through innovation and emerging technologies.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, quality, documentation and delivery.
Provide technical leadership, systems integration oversight and engineering governance.
Collaborate with senior leadership and commercial teams to align engineering strategy with customer and market needs.
Support engineering resource planning, recruitment and team development.About You
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams within a manufacturing or technology environment.
Strong background in product development and engineering programme delivery.
Excellent understanding of systems engineering, product lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
Commercially aware with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline (or equivalent), with Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it desirable.
Experience in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence, robotics, industrial machinery or other high-integrity engineering environments would be advantageous
