The Opportunity
A leading regional contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a 68-unit affordable housing development in Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across the South West. Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the build process, helping to deliver a scheme comprising high-quality affordable homes that will make a lasting impact on the local community.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the day-to-day management of a 68-unit affordable housing development
* Supporting the Site Manager in delivering the project safely, on programme and within budget
* Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to programme
* Carrying out quality inspections and managing snagging works
* Monitoring health and safety compliance across site
* Managing site records, inspections and daily reporting
* Coordinating deliveries and site logistics
* Assisting with NHBC inspections and quality assurance processes
* Liaising with subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
* Supporting programme management and short-term planning
* Assisting with customer care inspections and plot handovers
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship throughout the project
About You
* Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or Site Supervisor
* Residential construction experience is essential
* Affordable housing experience would be advantageous
* Good understanding of NHBC standards and quality requirements
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with subcontractors and site teams
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
* SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
* Valid CSCS Card
* First Aid qualification desirable
* Full UK driving licence
