Full-time, 10-month fixed term contract with possibility to extend.

35 hours per week (open to job share applications, happy to talk flexible working).

We have a flexible working policy with most staff expected to work from the office for a minimum of 50% of working hours.

Can you create impactful, viral content to help us win for working people?

The TUC is looking for a dynamic Social Media Officer to join our creative and collaborative social media team.

Our content regularly reaches millions, shapes debates and engages politicians, influencers and key decision-makers.

In this role, you’ll develop innovative, viral content and support workers to produce powerful and authentic digital content.

What experience, skills, knowledge and understanding do you need?

* You’ll have a track record of making innovative social content that makes an impact.

* You’ll be passionate about helping workers go viral.

* You’ll know what’s going far, the creators having a big impact - and how to adopt the latest trends.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BME) applicants who are underrepresented in this part of the TUC but also welcome applications from any candidate.

The closing date 12:00 on Thursday 23 July 2026.
