We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Maker to join our clients based in Worksop and Rotherham within the Tool Room team and Mould Shop. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are key.
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and examination of a wide range of injection mould and metal press tooling, ensuring all work meets company standards and supports production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fault finding, tool repair, corrections, and modifications
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with company quality policies and procedures
* Interpret and work from CAD drawings to complete tooling tasks
* Operate authorised machinery and equipment safely and effectively (Milling, Turning, Laser, Lathe)
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department
* Follow and promote lean manufacturing practices (5S+, documentation, standardised working methods)
* Work closely with other departments to ensure strong team collaboration
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including company life-saving rules
* Participate in training and development as agreed with the Tool Room Team Leader
Requirements
* Engineering qualification (essential)
* Previous experience in a tooling, toolmaking, or similar engineering role
* Ability to read and interpret technical/CAD drawings
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
* Good communication and teamwork skills
