Location: Edinburgh / surrounding area (Office) & Leith (Yard) EH6

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours a day, including a 1-hour lunch break) with flexible hours to suit business needs

Salary: Up to £36,000 dependent on experience

They are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented UK Logistics & Inventory Co-ordinator to join their team. Based between their Edinburgh offices and Leith yard, this role is pivotal in bridging the gap between logistics, inventory management, and client satisfaction.
The Role:
Working closely with the warehouse team, you will take full ownership of the UK supply chain, freight coordination, and stock control. You will be the go-to person for internal design teams needing freight quotes, and the proactive voice keeping UK clients updated on their deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Freight & Logistics: Negotiate UK freight rates, book inbound and outbound national transport, and manage the pipeline of expected vs. actual shipping dates.
*
Client & Internal Communication: Provide weekly shipping updates to UK clients, issue vital paperwork (including Certificates of Conformity), and supply the design team with accurate freight rates for quoting.
*
Inventory Control: Lead monthly rolling stock takes in collaboration with the warehouse team and oversee UK rental equipment.
*
Travel: Occasional visits to UK client sites and suppliers as required.
What We Are Looking For:
*
Logistics Expertise: Proven, demonstrable experience in UK freight forwarding is essential. International freight forwarding experience is highly desirable.
*
Tech Savvy: Excellent proficiency with computers and software (Outlook, Excel) is a must. Prior experience implementing inventory software—specifically Point of Rental—is strongly preferred.
*
Sharp Eye for Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling inventory data, shipping schedules, and compliance paperwork.
*
Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
*
Mobility: A full UK Driving License is required for travel between sites and suppliers.
