Location: Buckinghamshire / Hertfordshire region + site travel
Salary: Up to £60,000 + car allowance + healthcare + enhanced package

Quantity Surveyor – The Company
A successful and well-established regional main contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.
The company is a respected SME main contractor with a turnover of circa £50m, delivering a wide range of new build construction projects across residential, mixed-use, commercial and selected public-sector sectors. Projects are typically delivered within the Northern Home Counties and surrounding areas.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for staff retention and progression, this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop into a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the next 12–18 months.
Quantity Surveyor – The Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational and delivery teams.
This role would suit a commercially capable Quantity Surveyor who is confident managing projects independently and enjoys working within a professional SME main contracting environment.
Typical duties & responsibilities:
* Commercial management of new build projects
* Subcontract procurement and package management
* Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
* Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
* Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
* Working closely with site teams and Contracts Managers
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
* Supporting the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects
Quantity Surveyor – The Person
* Experience working for a main contractor is essential
* Previous experience delivering new build construction projects
* Able to commercially manage projects independently
* Strong understanding of cost reporting and contract administration
* Experience within an SME main contractor environment would be beneficial
* Ambitious and motivated to progress into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
