DevOps Engineer - MUST HAVE SC CLEARANCE - Remote and London/Croydon - 4 months+/RATE: £535 per day inside IR35

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments to enable efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery.
  • You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline processes, automate deployments, and ensure system stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and scalability
  • Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions (eg, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (eg, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Proficiency in Scripting or programming languages (eg, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (eg, Terraform)
  • Understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (eg, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools
  • DevOps or cloud certifications (eg, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
