Mechanical Technician Job Purpose
Support a major European expansion by delivering engineering and maintenance expertise for a new process line, including equipment build, installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an enhanced process package supporting European expansion.
- Lead asset build in the UK before installation in France.
- Maintain inventory, stock levels and consumables.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams.
- Support modular build, installation, FAT and SAT.
- Maintain and repair equipment, motors, pumps and valves.
- Install new machinery and monitor performance.
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
Mechanical Technician Health, Safety & Environmental
Ensure compliance with all company health, safety and environmental standards across European operations.
Mechanical Technician Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (desired).
- 3-5 years' hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, fluid systems and mechanical design beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Mechanical Technician Experience Required
- 3-5 years in a similar mechanical technician role.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel.
- Full UK driving licence.
Mechanical Technician Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of system schematics.
- Hands-on approach with minimal supervision.
- Proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges
