This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative proposals team, where you'll play a key role in developing high-quality technical and commercial bids for complex automation and control systems projects. Develop accurate cost estimates, including Bills of Materials (BoMs), supplier quotations, and engineering effort.
Collaborate closely with engineering, commercial, supply chain, and sales teams throughout the bid process.
Support internal stakeholders during pre- and post-tender discussions.
Participate in tender reviews, risk assessments, and proposal strategy meetings.
Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
Drive continuous improvement within proposal and bid management processes.
Take ownership of the complete proposal lifecycle, from interpreting customer requirements through to tender submission and post-bid support.
Experience & Skills
Background in Electrical, Control, Automation, or Functional Safety Systems Engineering.
Experience with PLC, SCADA, or DCS systems, including control panels, servers, industrial networks, and system architecture.
Knowledge of Functional Safety standards, including SIL, SIS, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and identify project scope, risks, and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing cost estimates, Bills of Materials, and engineering hour calculations for industrial automation projects.
Familiarity with Siemens or Rockwell automation platforms and industrial cybersecurity principles would be advantageous.
Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
