Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates may be available for candidates with specialist autism experience.
Hours of Work: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

About the Role
Teach Now is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a vibrant Croydon primary school.

You'll work closely with individual pupils and small groups, helping them access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils with ASD during lessons and structured activities.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Promote communication, independence and social development.
• Implement EHCP targets alongside teaching staff.
• Use visual timetables and structured routines where appropriate.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, parents and the SEN team.

Requirements
Applicants should have:
• Experience supporting children with Autism or additional learning needs.
• Understanding of autism-friendly strategies and inclusive practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, adaptable and positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
