An ambitious and client-focused consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established London team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use and industrial (warehouse/sheds) sectors.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, providing both pre and post-contract services. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and maintaining strong client relationships. This Senior Quantity Surveyor role offers the opportunity to lead on high-value developments across London.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be heavily involved in cost planning, procurement strategy, tendering, and contract administration. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered within budget. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, acting as a key commercial advisor.
Additionally, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will support and mentor junior team members, making this an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking leadership responsibilities and career progression.
Senior QS - Responsibilities
Full cost management across multiple projects
Preparation of cost plans and feasibility studies
Procurement and tender management
Contract administration and commercial reporting
Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Client liaison and stakeholder management
Mentoring junior surveyorsSenior QS - Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
MRICS or currently working towards chartership
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or main contracting
Experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use, or industrial sectors
Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independentlyThe Company
