A leading self storage operator is seeking a driven and commercially minded Store Manager to take ownership of a busy Southampton site.
Role: Store Manager
Location: Southampton
Pay: £36,000 – £37,053 per annum + performance bonus paid every 6 months
Working Pattern: Full-Time | Permanent
This is a hands-on leadership role combining sales, customer service, and operational management, where you will be responsible for driving occupancy, converting enquiries, and ensuring the site delivers a high-quality customer experience.
You’ll run the site as your own business unit – balancing performance, service, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of daily site operations
Drive occupancy and revenue growth through proactive sales and lead conversion
Manage inbound enquiries (phone, email, and walk-ins)
Conduct customer consultations and site tours to identify storage needs
Convert enquiries into rentals and maximise upsell opportunities
Maintain pricing, contracts, and rental agreements in line with company processes
Lead, coach, and motivate a small on-site team
Ensure high standards of site presentation, safety, and security
Monitor and report on KPIs including occupancy, sales performance, and conversion rates
Handle customer issues professionally and efficiently
Ensure CRM systems and records are accurately maintainedAbout You
Experience as a Store Manager, Branch Manager, or Assistant Manager
Strong background in sales and customer-facing environments
Confident handling targets, KPIs, and conversion-driven activity
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Comfortable taking ownership and working independently
Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
